The average life of the cold drawing punch for the inner ring of 203 and 102 bearings made of CH1 steel is 15,000 pieces, which is 5 times longer than that of GCr15/52100 steel.
During service, the cold drawing die for the bearing ring not only bears large impact loads, but also bears high extrusion and bending stresses. Therefore, the die is required to have not only high tensile strength and bending strength, but also good impact toughness. Using CH1 steel instead of GCr15/52100 steel to manufacture the cold punch die for the bearing ring, and through appropriate heat treatment, the service life of the die can be greatly improved. The process and performance comparison is shown in the following figure:
Material | σbc /Mpa | σbb /Mpa | Ak / (J/cm2) | f /mm | HRC | Molds service life / pcs |
GCr15 | 3618 | 2008 | 5.1 | 8.5 | 60.5 | ~ 5,000 |
CH1 | 4044 | 2403 | 15.48 | 9.5 | 60 | ~15,000 |
* GCr15 : 848℃ oil quenching, 150℃ x 2h tempering
* CH1 : 890℃ oil quenching, 200℃ x 2h tempering
