ALTA 1.4028 Stainless Steel Specification
Steel properties
ALTA 1.4028/30Cr13 is a high Chromium martensitic stainless steel. This steel has higher strength, hardness and hardenability than 1.4021/20Cr13 steel after quenching. It has a certain corrosion resistance to dilute nitric acid and weak organic acid at room temperature, but not as good as 1.4021 steel.
Applications
² Used for high-strength parts and wear parts that bear high stress loads and work in a certain of corrosive media, such as tools and springs working below 300°C, shafts, bolts, valves, bearings working below 400°C, etc
² Also used as measuring instruments, medical tools, etc
