ALTA 1.2329 Tool Steel Specification
Steel properties
ALTA 1.2329 steel have high resistance to thermal shock and heat cracking, good mechanical characteristics in hot condition, optimal mechanical characteristics in cold condition and good toughness in hot condition. Obtained through a special 'super clean' manufacturing process -ESR, which allows a high level of micro-purity to be achieved.
Applications
Special alloyed steel designed for dies, molds, punches and other components subjected to high working temperature, such as :
² dies subjected to low pressure
² containers for die-casting presses
² extrusion press blocks and sleeves for extrusion presses etc.
