Cold work tool steel
ALTA 1.2210 Steel Specification
Steel properties
ALTA 1.2210 steel is a chrome-vanadium steel with the middle hardenability for hardening in oil and water, relatively good toughness at the high hardness, good resistance to the wear and cutting power. More difficult ductility during the heat and good workability in the annealed state.
Applications
² All kinds of scissors, inserts, woodworking blade
² Cold heading dies, thread rolling dies and wear resistant slider
² Thermosetting resin molding, molding in deep drawing cold extrusion dies
² Cold cutting, cutting tools, punching tools, shear blades for cutting
² Cutting tools for machining by smaller cutting speeds, drills, reamers, screw taps etc
² Further for molds and auxiliary components, ejectors, pins etc
